Kaspersky Lab Receives Equity Investment from General Atlantic

Kaspersky Lab, a global developer of IT threat management solutions for individuals and businesses, has received an equity investment of undisclosed amount from General Atlantic LLC.
The partnership will enable the company to continue its global market growth, expand its technology and product portfolio to embrace cloud computing and IT consumerization.
GA will become the second largest shareholder in Kaspersky Lab, acquiring a number of secondary shares.

Natalya Kaspersky, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, co-founder and a significant minority shareholder of the company, said she was delighted to partner with GA: “We realize the necessity to take the next step in our global development and have chosen a partner who will provide better added value in terms of strategy development and who will help to mature the organization”, Kaspersky said.
Led by CEO, co-founder and controlling shareholder Eugene Kaspersky, the company is one of the largest antivirus companies in Europe. It delivers immediate protection against IT security threats, including viruses, spyware, crimeware, hackers, phishing, and spam.
