Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) is to acquire Affirmed Networks, an Acton, MA-based provider of a virtualized, cloud-native mobile core solution.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition will enable Microsoft to deliver new opportunities for a global 5G ecosystem. Bringing Affirmed’s technology and team of experts into Microsoft will allow the company to extend its cloud offering to operators everywhere as they look to run their networks in a hybrid environment.
