Redefine Meat, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based maker of alternative-meat 3D printer, closed a $6 million seed funding round.
The round was led by CPT Capital, joined by Hanaco Ventures, The PHW Group, and Israeli angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to finalize the development of its alternative-meat 3D printer, that will be released during 2020.
Founded in 2018 by Eshchar Ben-Shitrit, CEO, Redefine Meat is advancing meat production technology that has the potential to produce alternative meat products.
The company is developing a comprehensive solution that combines a proprietary semi-industrial 3D digital printing platform, a 3D meat modeling system and plant-based food formulations.
Redefine Meat’s animal-free meat comprises natural and sustainable ingredients that deliver the same appearance, texture and flavor of animal meat used for steaks, roasts and stews.
