BrightInsight Raises $25M in Series A Funding

BrightInsight LogoBrightInsight, Inc., a San Jose, Calif.-based provider of a global regulated digital health platform for biopharma and medtech, raised $25m in Series A funding round.

The round was co-led by New Leaf Venture Partners and Eclipse Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to:
– enhance the functionality of its platform,
– accelerate global commercialization efforts, and
– integrate the solution into the broader healthcare ecosystem, including Electronic Health Records (EHRs), payers and disease management programs.

Led by Kal Patel, MD, CEO and Co-Founder, BrightInsight provides biopharma and medtech companies with a global regulated digital health medical-grade Internet of Things (IoT) platform to support and optimize regulated drugs, devices and software through integrated data and actionable insights.
Additionally, the platform captures, transmits and analyzes data from CE-marked and FDA-regulated medical devices, combination products, apps and Software as a Medical Device, conforming with security, privacy and regulatory requirements such as HITRUST and GDPR.

The company also announced the launch of a dosing calculator to treat patients with Hemophilia A, which was sponsored by F. Hoffmann-La Roche.
