Dathena Science, a Singapore-based AI-powered provider of a data protection and management platform, closed a Pre-Series A funding of undisclosed amount.
The round was led by CerraCap Ventures, with participation from existing shareholder Demetis.
The company intends to use the funds to hires in its Singapore and European offices and prepare for US expansion.
Built on cutting edge AI technologies (Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning), Dathena’s suite of products allows organizations to identify Personally Identifiable Information (PIIs) automatically, evaluate readiness and remediation to Data Privacy compliance, classify data, detect security anomalies and protect sensitive information in a seamless, comprehensive and thorough process.
The Singapore based-company – led by Christopher Muffat, CEO – has been recognized as a “Cool Vendor” by Gartner in Application and Data Security as well as Artificial Intelligence in Asia. Dathena is also part of the NVIDIA Inception Program and has partnered up with Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, a research institute and international university and with PWC Switzerland.
It also recently opened an office at Station F in Paris sponsored by Thales Group’s Digital Factory.
