Joymode Closes $14.4M Series A Funding

Joymode, a Los Angeles, CA-based startup that offers products people need (but don’t own) to live offline experiences, closed a $14.4m Series A funding.

The round was led by Naspers through its Naspers Ventures division with participation from previous investors. In conjunction with the funding, Mike Katz of Naspers Ventures, joined Joymode’s Board of Directors.

The company will use the capital to grow its team and expand its range of experiences available to members.

Led by Joe Fernandez, CEO, Joymode enables members to access thousands of products for curated offline experiences. These range from packages for social activities such as camping (example: tent, sleeping pads, a stove, headlamps, etc), karaoke parties, kits to enable overnight guests, etc. With Joymode, people can book their reservation on the same day they want the products, for a future week or weekend, or up to three months in advance if they are a member. The experiences are made up of hand-picked products that the company or a curator have chosen for enjoyment.

New products and experiences are added weekly.
