PatientWisdom, a New Haven, Connecticut-based developer of an online platform focused on capturing patient perspectives, received an investment from OSF Ventures, the corporate investment arm of OSF HealthCare.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
As part of this relationship, the OSF Innovation Partnerships team is also working with PatientWisdom to co-develop a new tool called ProviderWisdom, which collects and gives insights about providers’ work lives as well as information they want other clinicians to know about them, ideas they have for innovation and thoughts they have about improving clinical workflows.
Led by Gregory Makoul, Ph.D., co-founder, PatientWisdom is a digital application that enables patients to share stories about themselves, their health and their care so that providers can understand what matters most to them.
The information captured is made available to the care team in a dashboard that provides quick insights and the ability to know their patients.
The technology also allows patients to contribute ideas on how health organizations can improve.
