Fusion Healthcare Staffing, a Sandy, Utah-based medical staffing company, secured strategic equity financing from Paul Sorensen and Gregory Sorensen.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed. In connection with the financing, Fusion expanded their board of directors to include Gregory Sorensen, who has been appointed as the chairman of the board. Paul Sorensen has been serving on the board of directors since October 2016.
Paul Sorensen comes to Fusion with fifteen years of executive management experience in the staffing industry. He served as President of the Select Family of Staffing Companies/EmployBridge as it grew to a $3.2B, nation-wide staffing firm.
Gregory Sorensen is a neuroradiologist who has served as President and CEO of Siemens Healthcare North America; he previously carried out research at Massachusetts General Hospital and was a Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School.
The company will use the funds to continue its growth in the locum tenens staffing market.
Fusion provides medical staffing experts who have been recruiting emergency medicine, hospitalist, and psychiatrist physicians for their clients across the United States since 2013.
