Blockit Raises $152k in Seed Funding

blockitBlockit, Inc., a Dallas, Texas-based startup healthcare tech company, raised $152k in seed funding.

The raise was structured in two rounds:
– $60,000 closed in late 2016 led by co-founders Jake McCarley and Mark Carver, MD, and
– a second round of $92k closed in February 2017 including contributions from strategic advisors close to McCarley and Carver.

The company will use the funding to refine the initial build of the platform, complete the consumer mobile app development, and fund the execution of the marketing strategy.

Led by McCarley, Carver, and CTO Glenn Phillips, Blockit provides a platform technology designed to provide real-time access to the calendar availability of patients and all the providers in complex episodes of care.
Based on a demonstration of the product, it also helps with scheduling referrals and stand-alone appointments.
