Social Impact Platform CariClub.com Closes Seed Funding Round

cariclub_logoCariClub.com, a NYC-based social impact platform designed to engage young professionals in philanthropy through associate board leadership positions at top nonprofits, closed a seed round of funding.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Backers included Henry Kravis and Paul Raether, both of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co, L.P., Todd Dagres (Spark Capital); Ray McGuire (Citigroup); Scott Swid (SLS Capital Management); and David Schulhof (IM Global Films).

The company intends to use the funds to build out its social network to serve more firms across a wide range of industries and cities..

Led by Rhoden Monrose, CEO and Founder, CariClub is an online platform that gives young professionals access to philanthropic leadership opportunities, specifically associate board positions with nonprofits and foundations.
Launched in August 2015, the company has already partnered with nearly 500 leading nonprofits and foundations to place young professionals on associate boards.

Corporate clients include KKR, Davis Polk and Berkshire Capital.
