PacketZoom, a San Mateo, CA-based mobile content delivery network, raised $4.3m in funding.
The round was co-led by First Round Capital and Baseline Ventures with participation from Founders Collective and Tandem Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to scale operations.
Led be new CEO Shlomi Gian, PacketZoom provides a CDN that allows mobile publishers and developers to boost app performance across several vertical markets including gaming, media, retail, and travel by eliminating roadblocks in the last mile based on key factors such as the user’s geographic location and type of mobile network.
