Skioo, a Lausanne, Switzerland-based ski ticketing platform integrated into global online reservation systems, raised CHF6m in funding.
Backers included Norwegian Investinor, the Swiss arm of Canica, as well as ski champion Aksel Lund Svindal.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its reach in Switzerland, Austria, France and Italy and grow its IT and customer care team.
Led by CEO Gregory Barbezat, Skioo has created an innovative ski pass system that gives people the possibility to access a maximum of ski resorts with the same card. Users no longer need to go to the ticket desk or book their skipass in advance but are automatically charged based on use.
Skioo has a team of 10 people in offices in Lausanne and Zurich.
