Cybersecurity Investigation Company PacketSled Completes $5M Series A Funding

PacketSled, a San Diego, CA-based cybersecurity investigation platform, completed a $5m Series A round of financing.

The round was led by Keshif Ventures with participation from existing and new investors from Blu Ventures and JHS Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its sales and marketing initiatives while continuing to grow the engineering and operations components of the business in both San Diego and Seattle.

Led by Matt Harrigan, CEO, PacketSled provides a cloud-based security investigation platform featuring automated network visibility, detection, incident response and forensics. The solution – based on IRES (Incident Response Expert System) technology, which utilizes expert systems to automate the process of threat hunting, validation, and incident response – provides visibility and context into network traffic, giving information on how cybersecurity threats are operating within the enterprise.
Clients include major organizations from financial services, government, healthcare, defense and aerospace, and online services.
