Butter Raises $3M in Seed Funding

butterButter, a San Francisco, CA-based platform that will allow users to easily find information in corporate information systems, raised $3m in funding.

General Catalyst made the investment and Phil Libin is joining Butter’s board.

The company is using the funds to hire new people to continue to develop the platform, which is now in beta.

Led by CEO Jack Hirsch, former Product VP at Evernote, Butter leverages Artificial Intelligence to allow people to find the content exists somewhere in corporate information systems via a personal assistant (BOT) that puts all of a company knowledge within reach.
