Backers included both Asian and US investors.
The funding will be used to secure IP and accelerate sales and marketing.
Led by Shahani Markus, Founder, CEO and President, and Manjula Dissanayake, Co-founder, COO and CTO, Emojot leverages software based emotion sensors which use emojis to capture emotions. The platform has the capability of instantly responding to expressed sentiments and enables emotion-based marketing possibilities for businesses.
Ideal applications include audience engagement during live TV shows, conferences and sports events, as well as on digital media, employee engagement and customer loyalty tracking, student engagement. kiosk-mode emotion sensors can be used at points-of-service such as restaurants, banks, and retail stores.
The company also has offices in Australia, and Sri Lanka.
