Bridgit Closes $1.7M Seed Funding Round

Bridgit_logoBridgit, a Kitchener, Ontario, Canada-based provider of a technology platform that simplifies construction project management, closed a $1.7m (CAD$2.2m) seed round of funding.

The round was led by Hyde Park Venture Partners with participation from Vanedge Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to hire new engineers and salespeople and acquire more customers in the United States.

Founded in 2012 by Mallorie Brodie and Lauren Lake, Bridgit provides commercial and residential builders with a mobile app to assign and track different tasks. Users can snap photos, write relevant notes to the subcontractors, track tasks and deadline.
To date, Bridgit has been used by more than 100 contractors.

Previous investors include New York City angel investor Joanne Wilson and Rypple (acquired by Salesforce 2012) co-founder Daniel Debow.
