AreaMetrics Raises $2M in Seed Funding

AreaMetrics-LogoAreaMetrics, a Seattle, WA-based consumer analytics platform for brick and mortar retailers, raised $2m in seed funding.

The round was led by Startup Capital Ventures and Quest Venture Partners with participation from Seraph Group, Social Starts, and previous angel investors. In conjunction with the funding, Donavan Kealoha of Startup Capital Ventures, joined AreaMetrics’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand the reach of its consumer insight, onboard national retailers, and add key members to its executive team.

Led by Brandon Bennett, Co-Founder and CEO, AreaMetrics is a customer intelligence platform that allows retailers to understand customer interests, preferences, and shopping patterns and derive actionable insights from data generated by leveraging Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technologies and a large community of mobile partners to A/B-test marketing campaigns, generate traffic, and increase sales.
Founded in 2014 in Honolulu, Hawaii, where the team was part of the Blue Startups accelerator, the company relocated in January 2016 to Seattle, Washington.
