Hostmaker, a London, UK-based full-service hospitality management company, closed $2m seed funding.
The round was led by DN Capital with participation from Avala Capital, DSG Consumer Partners, Delivery Hero co-founder Nikita Fahrenholz and former MD of Airbnb India and Middle East Mohit Srivastava.
The company intends to use the funds for product enhancements and expansion to other European capitals.
Founded by Nakul Sharma in December 2013 and launched in London in July 2014, Hostmaker provides an Airbnb management service serving about 5000 guests every month. The platform, which added Barcelona and Rome in April 2015, offers hosts two options:
– a flat-fee pay-as-you-go model, where existing Airbnb hosts can pick a premium hotel-style housekeeping and linen service or an in-person guest welcome in their absence, or
– a fully managed option where Hostmaker provides an end-to-end service.
