Drexcode, a Milan, Italy-based fashion rent startup, raised more than €500k in the second tranche of an approx. €1m round they announced at the end of 2014 (read here).
Backers included Innogest SGR, LigurCapital, LVenture Group (MTA) and Fashion 22 (an investment cehicle launched by members of Italian Angels for Growth led by Paola Bonomo and Paolo Marzetti).
The company intends to use the funds to grow the marketing e development team to expand the business in Italy and abroad.
Founded in May 2014 by CEO Federica Storace and head of sales Valeria Cambrea, and also led by President Enrico Mambelli, Drexcode acts as a luxury web boutique providing a renting service for luxury dresses. The platform has approx. 30k entrepreneur, top manager and show biz women as members who leverage the platform to rent dresses from such brands as Alberta Ferretti, Blumarine, Gianbattista Valli, Moschino, Vera Wang, Rochas and others.
