Two Bit Circus Closes $6.5m Series A Funding

two_bit_circus_logoTwo Bit Circus, a Los Angeles, CA-based experiential entertainment company, closed $6.5m Series A funding.

The round was led by Techstars Ventures and Foundry Group with participation from Intel Capital. In conjunction with the financing, Mark Solon, managing partner at Techstars Ventures and Ryan McIntyre, managing director and co-founder at Foundry Group, will be joining Two Bit Circus’ board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand STEAM Carnival into a national brand; develop original content for VR, mobile and web; and grow its business renting high-tech entertainment to conferences and events.

Led by Brent Bushnell, CEO and co-founder, Two Bit Circus provides immersive storytelling on next-generation platforms making use of lasers, fire and robots. Productions include STEAM Carnival, which features high-tech games and engaging workshops to inspire kids of all ages. The company has also developed virtual reality activations for top sports brands combining 360° video and haptic platforms for total immersion.
