Pana (formerly known as Native), a Denver, Colo.-based conversational commerce travel startup, raised $1.35m in seed funding.
Backers included Techstars, 500 Startups, FG Angels, Flight.vc, and Galvanize Ventures, among others.
The company intends to use the funds to increase product distribution and further develop its proprietary AI technology.
Led by Devon Tivona, CEO and co-founder, Pana combines artificial intelligence with a concierge service from 24/7 assistants to provide personalized travel booking, troubleshooting, benefits and awards. It allows members to send a message via the app to their concierge requesting flight bookings, hotel reservations, car rental, or restaurant suggestions. Through the combination of experts and AI technology, the requests are handled and answered, typically within 30 – 60 seconds.
The company is currently accepting a limited number of beta members at pana.com with the service rolling out to beta customers over the next couple months.
