Emma, a Nashville, Tenn.-based provider of email marketing solutions, raised $5m in equity and debt funding.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its sales and marketing efforts and accelerate product development.
Led by Clint Smith, co-founder and CEO, and Grey Garner, VP of marketing, Emma provides email marketing software and services for businesses, franchises, retailers, universities and agencies.
Key features include mobile-ready design templates, email automation, audience segmenting and dynamic content, plus integration with top CRM solutions, ecommerce platforms and social networks.
The company, which also has offices in Portland, New York and Melbourne, currently works with more than 45,000 clients around the world including Mario Batali, Bridgestone and Sylvan Learning Center.
