handpickHandpick, a San Francisco, CA-based food discovery app, raised $3m in Series A funding.

The round was led by ClearVue Partners with participation from angel investors Jean Pierre Chesse, Mingpo Cai, and Jean Pascal Tricoire.

Led by Payman Nejati, chief executive officer, Handpick allows users to save interesting dish posts by adding them to topics which can be shared with others. By following different topics, users get notified when new dishes are added.

The new app also allows users to pick and combine over 10,000 ingredients.

The app is available for iPhone®, iPad® and iPod touch® on the App Store.

The companyt also has offices in Shanghai, and Manila.
