Boost VC Closes $6.6M Fund

Boost--Adam and BraytonBoost VC, a San Mateo, California-based startup accelerator, closed an oversubscribed $6.6m fund.

Backers included:
– Marc Andreessen (individual),
– Ben Davenport (individual),
– Barry Schuler (individual),
– Rothenberg Ventures,
– Maven II,
– Kilowatt Capital,
– Tim Draper (individual), and
– Bill Draper (individual).

It now aims to invest in 200 companies over the next three years, with a 50% focus on Bitcoin.

Founded by Adam Draper and Brayton Williams in 2011, Boost provides:
– 3-months program
– mentorship services
– Scheduled time with industry influencers and investors
– team building exercises
– General legal counsel
– Seed funding for a percentage of the company

To date, the accelerator has hosted 69 companies and aims to have 250 companies in their portfolio by 2017.
The Demo day for the fourth batch took place on October 30th. It included:
