Beautified, a NYC-based booking app for last minute hair and beauty appointments, recently raised $1.2m in seed funding.
Backers in the round closed in August, included New Enterprise Associates, Manzanita Capital, Carmen Busquets and angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Founded by Hannah Bronfman, Annie Evans and Peter Hananel, Beautified provides an iOS application that lets users book last minute appointments at fine salons and spas. Beautified is pioneering a new way to find and book last-minute beauty and wellness appointments. Members can securely store credit cards and book from their smartphone while spa, salon and fitness partners can reach new clients and fill their appointment book.
