Hootsuite, a Vancouver, Canada-based social relationship platform, closed US$60m in financing.
The round was led by a large Boston-based asset manager with participation from existing investors Accel Partners, Insight Venture Partners and OMERS Ventures and technology lender Silicon Valley Bank.
The company, which has now raised US$250m in total, intends to use the funds to continue to scale on a global level.
Led by Ryan Holmes, CEO, Hootsuite is the provider of a social media relationship platform with more than 10 million users in 175+ countries.
Additionally, the company acquired Zeetl, a social telephony platform provider, to integrate new voice technology into its platform. This added to the acquisition of social campaign management platform Brightkit.
