Enthrill Distribution Inc., a Calgary, Canada-based provider of ebook distribution products and services for the global publishing industry, secured over $1.3m in financing.
AVAC Ltd. invested in the round.
The company intends to use the funds for product development and expansion of sales and marketing efforts for global distribution.
Led by Kevin Franco, President and Co-Founder, Enthrill provides a cloud-based software platform that enables ebooks to be distributed to any electronic reading device (which include computers, tablets, smartphones and e-readers). It also allows traditional hard copy retailers to sell ebooks, either online or via an ebook gift card.
The company’s ebooks are currently available at participating Canada Safeway, Co-op, and Sobeys stores and will be available in Walmart Canada stores in the fall, 2014.
Publishers include HarperCollins, Harlequin, Open Road Media, Scholastic, Kensington, Palgrave Macmillan and many others.
