Mobiles Republic Secures US$6M in Series B Funding

Mobiles Republic, a Bordeaux, France-based syndicator of trusted news apps for mobile devices, secured US$6m in Series B funding.

The round was led by Intel Capital with participation from XAnge Private Equity and Creathor Venture.

The company intends to use the funds to for product development, expansion in the US, as well as marketing and global sales efforts worldwide.

Led by Gilles Raymond, CEO, Mobiles Republic provides a proprietary news engine that generates more than 10 million page views per day of licensed content from more than 800 partner sources including Associated Press, Sina, CNET, Engadget, Elle, the Financial Times, the Huffington Post, and The Guardian.
Its syndicated apps include News Republic®, Appy Geek™, Appy Gamer™, GlamLife™ and Sports Republic™.

The company has offices in Beijing, China and US headquarters in San Francisco, California.
