Girl Meets Dress, a London, UK-based e-commerce luxury rental site, raised its first financing from Global Founders Capital.
The amount of the round was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its growth by:
– expanding its marketing efforts and editorial elements,
– enhancing the customer experience,
– hiring new people and
– expanding its market position in the UK.
Led by co-founders Xavier de Lecaros-Aquise and Anna Bance, Girl Meets Dress is an online destination for designer dress and accessory rentals.
It currently features 4,000 dresses by over 150 designers from more than 30 countries.
Global Founders Capital is the new $200M fund from Rocket Internet’s Samwer brothers and former Delivery Hero co-CEO Fabian Siegel.
