Silverback Learning Solutions Raises $2.5M in Angel Funding

Silverback Learning Solutions, a Boise, Idaho-based educator-founded technology company, raised $2.5m in angel funding.

The company intends to use the capital to expand its operations and accelerate its product development. In addition to the funding, Silverback Learning Solutions appointed Works of Grace Foundation Co-founder & Education Philanthropist, Benjamin Wood, to the Board of Directors. He joined Mr Lewis, Rudi Lewis, COO, Pete Thomas, Co-founder and Managing Director, ATA Ventures and investor, Phil Bradley, technology entrepreneur and investor.

Founded by Dr. Jim Lewis, CEO, Silverback Learning Solutions develops Mileposts, a results-driven instructional improvement system for schools K-12, which allows teachers to focus on the needs of each individual student while retaining the classroom structure,
Mileposts is currently used in school districts in the state of Idaho and across 13 U.S. states.

The company recently partnered with LinkIt!, a K-12 education technology, assessment and data-management company and Gooru, a search engine for learning, to combine their tools.
