Silicon Valley venture capital firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson added Facebook product manager Bubba Murarka as General Partner and Managing Director.
Since 2008, Murarka has held positions as business development lead and most recently head of product for Facebook for Android where he started the Facebook Home project.
In his new position, Murarka will help DFJ identify new investment opportunities focusing on early-stage consumer Internet and mobile companies.
At Facebook, Murarka helped scale the Android product team to more than 50 members and pivot the mobile development strategy toward native applications.
Prior to Facebook, Murarka spent seven years in technical and product roles at Microsoft.
Founded in 1985, DFJ has managed more than 400 portfolio investments, including AdMob, Baidu, Box, Skype, Hotmail, SpaceX, Tesla Motors, SolarCity, Twitter, Tumblr and Yammer.
