Gizmox, a Cambridge, MA-based provider of enterprise-class HTML5 for new and existing business applications, closed a $7.5m financing.
The round was led by Atlas Venture with participation from existing investors Citrix, Consolidated Investment Group, Maayan Ventures and other individual investors. In conjunction with the funding, Jeff Fagnan and Christopher Lynch of Atlas Venture will join Gizmox’ Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funding to accelerate its sales and marketing efforts.
Led by newly named CEO Eugene Kuznetsov (with Navot Peled, co-founder and former CEO now president), Gizmox provides an enterprise-class HTML5 platform for building rich UI business applications. It is comprised of two components: VisualWebGUI, a web and mobile HTML5 framework for enterprise apps, and InstantCloudMove, which migrates existing systems from client-server to HTML5 in the cloud.
