Sproutkin, a San Francisco, CA-based subscription service for children’s books, raised $1m in seed funding.
Backers included 500 Startups, the TechFellow Fund, and other angels.
Founded by Raelyn Bleharski, Alda Dennis and Mark Jen, Sproutkin operates a monthly subscription rental service that allows parents to receive shipments of new books on a regular basis.
What parents receive depends on the child’s age (infants and toddlers or preschoolers).
