CHARGED.fm , a Brooklyn, NYC—based social commerce platform that allows users to discover, share, create, and sell tickets for events, has secured $1m in funding.
Backers include Goldman Sachs’ Urban Investment Group and Seedco Financial, which committed $250k as part of their 10,000 Small Business Initiative, as well as an angel investor, who injected $750k.
The company intends to use the capital for marketing, personnel, business and product enhancement.
Founded in 2008 by CEO Yves Darbouze who personally subsidized an initial $3m in for the development of software applications and the patented social ticketing functionality, CHARGED.fm allows artists, fans, venues or events of any size, to buy and sell their tickets online.
