Retention Science Raises $1.3M in Seed Funding

Retention Science, a Santa Monica, CA-based provider of big data retention marketing platform, has raised a $1.3m in seed funding. 

Backers include Baroda Ventures, Mohr Davidow Ventures, Double M Partners and angels Bong Koh, Clark Landry, Kunal Anand, Mike Greenfield, and Paige Craig, as well as Stanford Ph.D. data scientists from companies including LinkedIn, PayPal and IBM. 

Come out of the MuckerLab accelerator program, and led by Jerry Jao, co-founder and CEO, and Andrew Waage, co-founder and CTO, Retention Science provides e-Commerce businesses with big data analytical tools for customer retention. It collects customer demographic, social, and behavioral data and unites them with real-time web viewing patterns and purchase history to predict the most relevant campaigns and dynamically create offers based on customer unique characteristics. Its learning engine that uses algorithms and statistical modeling to build custom retention optimization strategies.
