smartDIGITAL, doing business as Elevate Digital, a Chicago, IL-based developer and provider of street-level digital interactive technology, has raised $2.7m in Series A financing.
The round was led by Advantage Capital Partners, with participation from Metropolitan Capital Bank.
The company, which plans to complete the round within the next 60 days, intends to use the capital to grow in the Chicago market with the launch of its new product line. Elevate Digital is also in talks to expand service to other major metro areas, including New York City and Miami. It plans to double its headcount in the next 90 days.
Led by founder and CEO George Burciaga, Elevate Digital provides wall, glass, as well as indoor and outdoor interactive digital displays, which allow marketers to enhance the consumer experience through a highly engaging medium. They are available in a series of large customizable formats.
The company recently announced partnerships with Groupon, the Chicago Tribune and Metromix, among others.
