appRenaissance Raises $1.5M Seed Funding

appRenaissance, a Philadelphia, PA-based provider of mobile applications and infrastructure, has raised a $1.5m seed funding.

The round was led by FirstMark Capital, with participation from the company’s CEO Bob Moul and other Philadelphia-based angel investors.

Founded in 2010, appRenaissance develops handcrafted mobile applications and mobile application tools and infrastructure. Products include Unifeed™ Mobile Middleware™ which is designed to speed mobile application development time, simplify integration with enterprise services, and reduce ongoing maintenance costs.
The company intends to use the funding to hire key professionals as well as accelerate development of Unifeed™.

appRenaissance’s clients come from industries as diverse as music and entertainment, retail sales and mortgage insurance. The list includes TicketFly, BizEquity, AllFanz, Radian, geo-social startup Interact, and high-risk insurer Pennsylvania Surplus Lines Association.
