SimpleRegistry Closes Seed Funding

SimpleRegistry, a Cincinnati, OH-based online service that allows consumers to create a single gift registry that draws from several retailers, has closed a seed funding round.

Among others, CincyTech injected $150k in the company.

SimpleRegistry intends to use the capital to continue to develop its offering and to expand public relations, advertising and marketing efforts. It will focus on the wedding and baby industries.

Co-founded in late 2010 by CEO Tony Alexander, Brandon Warner and Chris Kolik, the company provides engaged couples, expectant parents and others with a unified Web application to create, manage, share and receive any type of gift for any occasion by incorporating traditional and non-traditional gifts.
