MindBody Raises Additional $9M in Funding

MindBody Inc., a San Luis Obispo, California-based provider of business management software to the wellness industry, has raised additional $9m in funding.

Investor include Bessemer Venture Partners and Catalyst Investors, which provided $5.6m in March 2009 and $11m in August 2010 (read here).

The company intends to use the funds to further expand internationally.

Founded in 2001 and led by CEO Rick Stollmeyer, MINDBODY today offers a web based business management system and mobile applications, which help subscribers manage their businesses and enable consumers to find, book and pay for wellness-oriented classes and appointments.
Customers include over 14,000 fitness, yoga, Pilates, salons, spas and martial arts businesses in over 75 countries.
