Inigral Raises $4m in Series B Financing

Inigral Inc., a San Francisco, CA-based education technology company, has raised $4m in a Series B equity financing.
Investors include existing shareholders Retro Venture Partners and Founders Fund, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which committed $2m.
Inigral intends to use the funds to further develop and market its education-focused social media technology product, the Schools App, built on the Facebook Platform.
Launched in 2007 and led by Michael Staton, co-founder and CEO, the company provides schools with this app that leveraging the Facebook Platform allows students to obtain and share information about the academic and social environment at their school, as well as to find other students with similar interests, experiences or course loads and to organize face-to-face meetings.
