TekTrak Raises Seed Funding

TekTrak, a Los Angeles, CA-based iPhone Tracking Service Provider, has raised seed funding of undisclosed amount from venture capital firms and business angels.
Investors in the round include Cyan and Scott Banister, Kima Ventures (Xavier Niel and Jeremie Berrebi), Sergey Grishin, Wasabi Ventures (Chris Yeh and Tom Kuegler), PBWorks, BCITL Ventures (Dovi Frances), Barney Pell (founder of Powerset), and Yoni Saban.
The company intends to use these funds to expand into other mobile platforms – including Android – and add features to its existing iPhone application.
Led by CEO Arik Waldman, TekTrak creates mobile security software that are designed to track the location of mobile devices using AGPS and remotely communicate with them. The app also allows users check the last known location and location history.
