Cleversafe Receives $31.4m in Series C Funding

Cleversafe Inc., a Chicago, Illinois-based provider of resilient storage solutions suited for storage clouds and massive digital archives, has received $31.4m in an extension of its series C funding.
Investors include Motorola Ventures, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), OCA Ventures, and clients of Anderson and Strudwick, Inc.
As stated by Chris Gladwin, president and CEO, Cleversafe, the proceeds will enable the company to develop its products and expand into key markets such as government and public safety, areas that require a secure and massively scalable cloud storage platform.
The Cleversafe platform is designed to store mission critical data. It addresses the core principles of information security – confidentiality, integrity, and availability – through its information dispersal architecture. This approach aims to solve the security problems associated with Cloud Storage since it secures the confidentiality of data by transforming and virtualizing it to be inherently secure.
