Deliv, a Menlo Park, California-based crowdsourced, last mile delivery company, acquired Zipments, a New York City-based same-day delivery company.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
With the acquisition of Zipments, Deliv obtains a stronger presence in New York City, and now provides same-day service for nearly 4,000 clients nationwide.
Led by Garrick Pohl, founder and CEO, Zipments services brands such as DVF, Ted Baker, and Trina Turk, on-demand companies such as Casper, Handy, and Plated, local merchants such as B&H, Murray’s Cheese and Epicerie Boulud, as well as large corporate clients who need to send packages across town.
Daphne Carmeli, founder and CEO, Deliv offers scheduled, same-day delivery and returns for national retailers and category leaders, such as Best Buy, EXPRESS, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Pottery Barn, and Williams-Sonoma, as well as thousands of local merchants and e-commerce companies like BloomThat, Cako, Urban Stems, and Laundry Locker.
It is backed by some of Silicon Valley’s leading venture capital firms.
