TempoDB Raises $3.2M in Series A Funding

TempoDB, a Chicago, IL-based time series database service for sensors and measurement data, raised $3.2m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Hyde Park Venture Partners, with participation from Chicago Ventures, Divergent Ventures and angel investors including Hyde Park Angels.

The company will use the funds to hire technical sales staff and software engineers to continue building its service while increasing global reach.

Founded in late 2011 by CEO Andrew Cronk, Justin DeLay and Mike Yagley, TempoDB provides software developers with an infrastructure-as-a-service time series database that stores billions of measurement data points from millions of Internet-connected sensors, serving customers in diverse industries including energy, manufacturing, infrastructure, healthcare, and the “Internet of Things”.
Customers include Fluke, NinjaBlocks, WattVision, sMeasure and others.
