lifeIMAGE Closes $15M Series C Financing

lifeIMAGE, a Newton, MA-based network for sharing medical images and related health information, closed a $15m Series C round of financing.

The round was led by Cardinal Partners and Galen Partners, with participation from all other existing venture funds and strategic investors.

The company intends to use the capital to expand operations.

Led by CEO Hamid Tabatabaie, lifeIMAGE provides hospitals with tools to facilitate the secure, electronic exchange of x-ray, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, echocardiography, ultrasound, and other types of diagnostic imaging exams in and out of their health care enterprise.
It has been used by more than 29,000 people in 68 countries to share over 410 million medical images.
