Satispay, a Milan, Italy-based mobile payment company, raised €320m in Series D funding, at a valuation of approx. €1 billion.
The round was led by Addition, with participation from existing investors Coatue, Greyhound Capital, Lightrock, Tencent, Block Inc., and Mediolanum Gestione Fondi SGR.
The company, which has raised approximately €490m in total so far, intends to use the funds to continue to grow in Italy, and internationally.
Founded in 2013 by Alberto Dalmasso, Dario Brignone and Samuele Pinta, Satispay enables merchants to accept payments from customers via their digital devices. The company currently reaches over 3 million consumers and 200k merchants including SMBs and large companies in Italy, Germany, Luxembourg and France.
