Zeno Power, a Seattle, WA-based developer of nuclear batteries for frontier environments, raised $50M in Series B funding.
The round was led by Hanaco Ventures with participation from Seraphim, Balerion Space Ventures, JAWS, Vanderbilt University, RiverPark Ventures, Stage 1 Ventures, 7i Capital, Beyond Earth Ventures, and others.
The company intends to use the funds to grow its team to over 100 employees across Seattle and Washington, DC, and invest in manufacturing capabilities to scale production and meet customer demand.
Led by CEO Tyler Bernstein, Zeno Power is a developer of nuclear batteries, compact, long-duration power systems that provide reliable energy in frontier environments.
The company has secured over $60M in contracts from the U.S. Department of Defense and NASA to develop nuclear batteries for demanding maritime and space applications, such as seabed infrastructure, highly maneuverable satellites, and lunar landers.
Founded in 2018, it has a team of 65+ members.
This funding brought Zeno’s total capital raised to over $70M, following its Series A led by Tribe Capital in 2022.
