Miden, a NYC based blockchain infrastructure startup, raised $25m in seed funding.
The round was led by a16z Crypto, 1kx, and Hack VC, with participation from Finality Capital Partners, Symbolic Capital, P2 Ventures, Delta Fund, MH Ventures, and angels including Rune Christensen (MakerDAO) and Sreeram Kannan (EigenLayer).
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and development efforts.
Spun out of Polygon Labs and led by Bobbin Threadbare, Miden is a zk-powered blockchain platform that allows builders to create novel, high-throughput, private applications for payments, DeFi, digital assets and gaming. Applications and users are secured by Ethereum and AggLayer.
The mainnet launch is slated for the fourth quarter of 2025.
