Medmain, a Fukuoka, Japan-based medtech startup providing an AI-powered cloud system, raised 3.3M USD in funding.
The round was led by One Capital with participation from Niremia Collective and Plug and Play.
The company intends to use the funds to further enhance the development of its product, PidPort, invest in infrastructure for digitalization, strengthen its sales organization, apply for regulatory approval of its pathology AI, and build a foundation for international expansion.
Led by CEO Osamu Iizuka, Medmain is a medtech startup that offers PidPort, an AI-powered cloud system to assist in digital pathology, which is currently used by many clients in a wide range of settings, including remote diagnostic support and consultations between medical institutions, multi-facility conferences, academic conferences, educational use in lectures and training sessions, as well as research and quality control at universities and corporations.
The raise brought the total amount to $18M.
