MDA – Medical Decision Alliance, a Leipzig, Germany-based healthcare startup, raised €3.3m in seed financing.
The round was led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) with additional private investors and entrepreneurs.
The company intends to use the funds to double the size of its team, recruit additional clinics and medical device companies, and develop AI-based surgical training and assistance solutions.
Founded in 2023 by Dr Gunter Trojandt, Annett Christ and two business angels, Jozsef Bugovics and Nils Kröber, MADA has developed special software solutions that can be used to record the surgical techniques and decision-making routines of leading surgeons in detail and transfer them to AI-based assistance systems. It is providing decision-making algorithms that suggest the most appropriate workflow for a wide range of patient situations.
The company has a total of 10 employees.
